Mark S. Martel CFP®
Mark Martel, president of Martel Wealth Advisors, Inc., has been advising his clients since 1982. He earned a bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance Option with a minor in Economics from Washington State University (Pullman). He is a member of the Financial Planning Association and has served as a board member for the Oregon and SW Washington chapter. A Clark County resident for over 45 years, he is active in the community, including serving as past Chairman of Clark County YMCA, a long time member of the Rotary Club of Vancouver – Sunrise, and a member of the Vancouver Chamber of Commerce. Mark and his wife, Karen, have two children.
Michele Madasz

Michele Madasz is a Licensed Sales Assistant to Mark Martel. She earned her bachelor’s degree at Franciscan University of Steubenville, Ohio majoring in Political Science. Michele lived and worked in Washington, DC for many years before moving to the Pacific Northwest in 2005. Before joining Martel Wealth Advisors in 2011, she worked at UBS Financial Services and the Community Foundation for Southwest Washington. Michele holds Series 66 registration.
Jason Martel CFP®
Jason Martel is an Investment Advisor with Martel Wealth Advisors. He earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Washington in Business Administration and a master’s degree from the University of San Francisco in financial analysis. Jason holds the Series 65 license and is a CFP® professional. He was raised in Clark County and is a member of the Rotary Club of downtown Vancouver. Jason and his wife, Remi, have two children and two dogs.
Grant Caudle CPFA®
Grant Caudle is an Investment and Retirement Planning Specialist with Martel Wealth Advisors. A product of the Portland Public School system and a graduate of the University of Portland, he has continued to deepen his roots within the Pacific NW. After marrying his high school sweetheart, he began his career in the financial world. After cutting his teeth at a small independent advisory firm, he moved across the desk to work for the Hartford, as the Pacific NW 401(k) client service manager. After years in that role, he moved to Nationwide Financial where he worked as the Regional Vice-President of 401(k) sales and service for the Pacific NW. Years on this path in the retirement plan industry ultimately led to Martel Wealth Advisors. Throughout his twenty-five-year career, Grant has been consulting and advising his clients with a focus on corporate retirement and retirement planning. A Clark County resident and native to the Pacific NW, he and his family enjoy community development and spending time together making memories.
Ann Martel CFA
I graduated from Wellesley College in Boston with my bachelor's degree in Economics, which included studying finance for a year at MIT's Sloan School of Management through a cross-enrollment program. I am a CFA Charterholder and an Investment Advisor Representative (Series 65 License).
I started my career in financial services as an investment strategy analyst in the Global Investment Opportunities Group at J.P. Morgan in New York City and was responsible for delivering timely market & economic insights to both institutional and retail clients around the world. I also spent time working in corporate financial strategy for Amazon's cloud computing business prior to joining MWA.
Born and raised in Vancouver, WA, I enjoy giving back to our local community, including serving as an active volunteer and member of the Junior League of Portland, the CFA Society of Portland, the Oregon Wellesley Club, and the Jesuit Portland alumni community.
Blake Merritt
Blake Merritt is Director of Portfolio Services. He earned his bachelor’s degree at Point Loma Nazarene University, majoring in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance. His start in the financial services industry came while attending Point Loma, when he joined his adjunct professor’s top San Diego Area practice. Upon graduating from business school, he started full time in the investment advisory business in Central California with roles in portfolio management and operations. After moving to the Northwest, he joined Martel Wealth Advisors in 2010. His roles have continued to focus on portfolio administration and providing excellent service to clients. Blake is alumnus of Leadership Clark County, Class of 2015. He and his wife are proud to call Vancouver home.
Johanna Blackwell FPQP™
Johanna Blackwell has worked in the financial services industry for over 10 years and has earned the Financial Paraplanner Qualified Professional™ designation through the College of Financial Planning. Johanna has strong ties to the financial planning community and continually keeps her knowledge up to date via her involvement with the Financial Planning Association (FPA) as an executive board member for our local chapter. In the past, she has demonstrated her passion for leadership by serving as a board member of the Salem Young Professionals as well as with the woman’s ministry at her church. Though Johanna grew up the daughter of a military officer in Northern Virginia, she, her husband, and son have called the northwest home for over the past decade.
Victoria Zorzoli
Victoria Zorzoli received her bachelor’s degree from the University of La Verne in California and her master’s degree in Business Administration at the University of Portland. She works in Portfolio Services focusing on administrative services and has been with Martel Wealth Advisors since 2016. Victoria is a long-term resident of Portland, enjoys playing piano in her spare time and performed with the University of La Verne Orchestra from 2010-2014. She is also bilingual and is happy to help any Spanish-speaking clients.
Lauren E. Simpson Helgeson
Lauren Simpson Helgeson works in Portfolio Services, collaborating with our Investment Advisors on retirement projections and long-term financial reports. She was born and raised locally, is a 5th generation Clark County resident, and has strong ties to our local community. She graduated summa cum laude with a BA in Psychology from Whitman College in Walla Walla, WA. Prior to returning to the financial services industry, Lauren lived in Seattle for over a decade, working in business development for non-profits and product marketing for a well-known technology start-up that’s now traded on NASDAQ.
Lauren and her husband reside in Camas with their two children and shih tzu. In addition to their love of exploring local restaurants and wineries, they enjoy boating, collecting antiques, and supporting the local arts community. She serves on the board of the Rotary Club of Vancouver, Camas School District’s Citizens Advisory Committee, and is a member of the Accomplished and Under 40 Class of 2022.
Lauren has a passion for working with multi-generational families and supporting financial literacy for women and children. She looks forward to assisting you with your long-term financial journey.
Autumn Julian
Autumn Julian works in Portfolio Services assisting with administrative services. She attended the University of San Diego where she received both her bachelor’s degree and master’s degree in finance. Autumn was born and raised in Vancouver, but after moving back from San Diego has found a new love for home. Outside of time in the office, she loves traveling the PNW with friends and scoping out the most delicious restaurants and breweries in the Portland area. When not with family and friends, you will find Autumn spending time with her bernedoodle Poppy, either going on long walks or getting comfortable on the couch for a night in.
Jeremy Likes
Jeremy Likes is an Investment Analyst with Martel Wealth Advisors. He was born and raised in Davis, CA. He then ventured north, earning a bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from the University of Oregon. He went on to earn a master’s degree in Finance from the University of Portland. Prior to joining Martel Wealth Advisors, he worked as an Investment Analyst for a Forbes 400 Family Investment Office.
Outside of the office, Jeremy likes listening to rock music, playing drums, staying active, and traveling to new places.
Tutu Phan
Tutu works in portfolio services at Martel Wealth Advisors. She graduated from the University of Oregon attaining a bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance. While at the University of Oregon she worked as a Peer Financial Coach helping students learn about financial literacy. Tutu is also a Portland native and is thrilled to work in the PNW. In her free time Tutu enjoys staying active, arts and crafts, and spending time with her family.
